Headshots vs Personal Branding

What is the difference?

Headshots

Quite literally is a “shot of one’s head”. They are usually cropped into a head and shoulders image which clearly shows your face so your clients will know who they will be doing business with.

The images are styled with a simple solid colour backdrop and require less time and preparation. They are perfect for:

Your business cards

Email signature

Social Media profile pictures (eg LinkedIN, Facebook, Twitter etc)

Profile pictures on your CV

Annual Reports

Headshot
PersonalBrand

Personal Branding

These images show more of you doing what you do and requires great attention to detail and includes more of your personality.

You can have close-ups or facial shots, upper body shots, or environmental portraits.

They can have simple solid backdrop or be taken on location such as an office or outdoors depending on how you want to depict your brand in a natural environment. The options are limitless. They are perfect for:

Websites (about me, behind the scenes etc)

PR & Advertising

Company Publications

Articles & Newspapers

Brochures/Flyers

Trade Table Standees

You can combine these sessions during your photoshoot or something entirely different. Eg, do a personal branding shoot and but bring a change of outfit to capture some vanity fair style portraits. There is no extra charge if they are all captured during the same photoshoot. The decision is yours.

Headshot sessions include the choice of 1 backdrop and 1 outfit where I will photograph a range of poses to choose from.

Sessions start at $195 for Headshots and include:

the photoshoot

viewing session

1 digital image in high and low resolution (suitable for online and printed materials)

Personal Branding sessions are to capture a range of images in different outfits and/or backgrounds with the photoshoot designed for your requirements.

Sessions start at $750 for Personal Branding and in addition to a Headshot style session, include:

the design appointment

Longer duration photoshoot with different backgrounds and outfits if required

5 digital images in high and low resolution (suitable for online and printed materials)

Details of what you can expect during your photoshoot can be found on the Personal Branding Experience page.
